Strength, Courage & The SuperSexy Four Letter Word

Being a real life superhero is unfathomable to many. What would you rather have for your superpower, strength or courage?

I cannot imagine one in a million chance that I would kiss a parrot. So vivid. So unreal. So wild.  The first kiss was 5 years ago.

The truth is I was scared, though Baby Picasso was still a 4 month young chick. I felt Baby Picasso was afraid of me too.

"Raymondo, you're so afraid of Baby Picasso!" Lynda who nursed Baby Picasso, laughed joyfully and pointed out my hilarious reactions during my visits in Mission, BC.

Ahoy!! Hello!!  That's a freakin' big beak. Crap hands. Can opener! Nutcraker!  Crack open the hardest Brazilian nuts in the world is no problem. Before I met Baby Picasso, my finger was bitten by a big blue and gold Macaw few months that I don't even know in a pet store  It was my fault. I just put my fingers in front of the beak for it to kiss, like a toy. Bloody smart?

Kissing is easy.  Not.  Not when it's a big, beautiful, wild parrot.  Definitely, more nerve-wrecking than kissing a girl.  :D

Courage is not the absence of fear.

Think about how you go about your life taking on the toughest challenge when you get up in the morning or afternoon. Without strength or courage, how can you face the big world out there, kid?!! No kidding. Without strength or courage, how can you pursue your big, hairy, audacious goals? Create the most exotic-sexy, kick-ass adventure?

Without strength or courage, how do you dance with monstrous fear? Laugh in the face of death?

You don't have to be a superhero to have the superpowers! How do you get them?  The clue is in the super-sexy four letter word: "LOVE"

Harness the kick-ass love. Being deeply loved as opposed to loving someone deeply are two distinct emotions. They directly affect what you experience and your passion.

The mission on the quest for the Fountain of Youth is not a piece of cake for KAPtain Jack Parrot.

To love or be loved (by someone or something) and to give or to receive are two different mindsets.

Raymondo Chan Retired From Exotic Salsa Dancing, Building Parrot Island

Exotic Salsamaster, Raymondo Chan is retired from Exotic Salsa Dancing, his mission to inspire passion through adventure and play to millions around the world, with his dance and adventure partner-in-crime, parrot Baby Picasso. He will no longer be choreographing, coaching, performing, dancing,  directing.  

Thanks to the unprecedented success of Raymondo Chan's book and movie deals of his wild, exotic adventures and to the dedication of beloved blockbuster director, Steven Spielberg and Hollywood producer, Jerry Bruckheimer, he will now live as a fat, nutty, morbid monk in Parrot Island, his secluded, private, lush tropical island, somewhere near the Caribbean. Islands of Lady Gaga and Anthony Robbins are not too far away.

Instead of consuming himself to burn the dance floor anywhere, anytime, he is too slothful to put out any bond fire for BBQ anywhere, anytime. Provisions are made for authentic doggy houses of Michael Buble and Jackie Chan surprise visits.

"Stop being dangerous."

Gazing at the blue sky, lazing like a lizard in a hammock on the white, sandy beach, he enjoys expressing himself zipping Margaritas, amassing his fortune to develop one pack, big, fat belly.

Dance, play and love are only for the fools.  Human contacts are dangerous. Touches and handshakes are dangerous. Kisses and hugs from Exotic Salsa Dancing, especially from the female species, are even more dangerous, and must be avoided at all costs.  How sad and difficult would it be for Raymondo and parrot Baby Picasso to miss the tsunami of love,  exotic parties, and the sexy, amazing adventures with his dear friends and loyal, undying fans?  Not at all.  

Dare to be a free-flight parrot, a naked parrot? No. Be very chicken.  No dreams, no hope, no courage required. No disappointments. No rejections. No ridicules. So be proud, like everyone else. It is wiser to procrastinate living your dream and living your full potential than risking to become who you can be.

Dreams are for the idiots and the kids.  You're adults, grown-ups. Trash them. Let's be domestic, realistic and be very reasonable here. The world absolutely does not need passion. There is no need to love, dance and live a life with no regrets.

But what about Latin dancing and music? Listening to song birdies and froggies kissing are staples.

How free can you be in Parrot Island? At least, being naked is no shame.  They hangout, meditate, sharing their space openly among other exotic parrots, Macaws, and wild animal friends, like sea turtles, rabbits, monkeys, cheetahs, lions, elephants .... and live in peace, happily ever after in a jungle paradise.

So you want to take away parrot Baby Picasso, my love, away from me?!

Ms. Constable from the "animal welfare" agency said I cannot take Baby Picasso, my parrot to "loud noises" and "crowed places".

What the hell you're talking about?

We love a great party. We dance, free-fly, enjoy a classical music concert by Vancouver Symphony Orchestra among friends, the hundreds, young and old, and four legged at Deer Lake Park. What crime do I commit in the urban jungle, Madam?

Valentine for love and romance?

The other day, I talk to a student and friend of mine how to celebrate Valentine Day. She told me she is not really celebrating as much as she would like. She loves to Salsa Latin dance, but her partner is shy and reluctant. 

No matter how busy you are these days, Valentine Day is so hard to forget or escape one's radar. You see so many heart signs and flowers hanging everywhere.

How would you celebrate?  

Romantic dinner or dancing?

Belgian dark chocolate won't hurt your waistline, especially when you plan to burn those extra calorie afterwards. If you are single, don't be alone. Go out and celebrate with friends! Sparkle your romance with your love one or date. Meet other fun loving people with your new social skills.
